The watch under the G-Shock DW-H5600 series was launched in Malaysia this week and it comes with heart rate and activity scanning features that are usually found in smart watches. The difference is that the watch under the G-Squad series still maintains the classic design of the first G-Shock watch DW-5000C.
Five models are offered in Malaysia namely DW-H5600-1DR, DW-H5600 – 2D, DW-5600MB-1DR, DW-H5600MB – 2DR, and H5600EX-1DR. The pulse scanner can detect heart activity, and the oxygen content in the blood while there are three sports activities which are running, walking, exercise in the gym and race training. Activity can then be analyzed directly from the watch or on a smartphone application. In addition, sleep tracking features are also included.
The watch still has the ability to absorb shocks and can also be taken diving up to a depth of 200 meters. Tethering to a smartphone is done via bluetooth. In continuous heart rate tracking mode, this series watch can operate for 35 hours but increases to a month without smart mode activated. In addition to being charged using a cable, it also supports solar power charging.
