The road that a vehicle can travel is directly proportional to the width of the vehicle itself. Kancil cars can go through narrow trails that a truck cannot use. But the electric car CT-1 (City Transformer 1) has the ability to make it flatter to allow it to go through narrower roads in the middle of the city.
All four tires can be inserted into the body making the width of the vehicle only 1 meter. It is equipped with two 7.5 kW electric motors that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 90kmh. The battery provides a travel distance of up to 180 km on a single charge. The CT0-1 is designed for short-distance urban use so high performance is not required.
It can only carry two passengers but because of its "skinny" body in city driving mode, it can be placed in the motorcycle storage area. Like other electric cars it has a screen for the driver and also an infotainment system. The CT-1 will be sold starting in 2024 at a price of 16,000 Euros (~RM79,000) each.
