Identity verification on Twitter, and Instagram is now common through subscriptions. Through it the account is verified as the real owner to avoid fraud. The identity verification feature with a blue smeared icon is now being developed in Gmail as well.
Emails sent by organizations that have verified their identity through Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) will display a blue smeared icon. For example every email from Google will have this cover to avoid the issue of it being misused for serious fraud and phishing purposes.
