Google Announces Newest AI Language Model – PaLM 2, Supports Over 100 Languages

 


With the explosion of artificial intelligence products, one of the things that becomes a priority in generating various productions is the language model behind it, or also known as LLM (Large Language Model). With this step, artificial intelligence can understand what is needed, and provide an appropriate response.


Today, at the Google I/O event, Google introduced a new generation of their language model, PaLM 2 (Pathways Language Model 2). It will be the basis of various artificial intelligence support at Google.



PaLM 2 is said to be capable of performing various calculations, programming, and interestingly supports more than 100 languages through it. PaLM 2 will also provide more logical reasons and reasons to various queries – compared to the previous model.



On the programming side, PaLM 2 now understands and can generate and help engage over 20 programming languages. In addition to public use, PaLM 2 is also being developed for specific purposes – including Google says it has developed it for security and even medicine.


PaLM 2 will power a variety of Google products with artificial intelligence, including Google Bard which is open access to all starting today.
