Google has recently introduced several new features for the Chrome web browser to further simplify the process of browsing the web, and now Google also shared that the Chrome web browser can identify spelling mistakes or "typos" on URLs.
It is common for users to mistype part of the URL, and this leads the user to a different site or one that has malware. Google seems to want to overcome this, by integrating the ability to fix the URL that the user wants to go to. Google says it will recognize a URL in the address bar, and suggest the website the user wants to go to.
The feature is said to be available on Chrome on desktop today, and will be extended to the Chrome mobile app soon. However, from testing, this feature is not yet active on the Chrome web browser we use.
