Matter is already official as a protocol for internet of things (IoT) devices. This means that all IoT devices from various manufacturers can be used on various ecosystems without having to worry about them being incompatible as has been the case all along.
Even though many applications create device products to control internet of things devices already support many products through Matter, some users want to be loyal and focus on only one application to avoid getting dizzy. For example Homekit on Apple can only control Google products and Google Home can also control other Matter products supported by Apple.
The latest Google Home app for iOS will soon support Matter. Through iOS 16.5 this application will be ready to support the control and connection of Matter internet devices in just a few weeks.
