Google Pixel Fold Launched With 7.6″ Screen, 48MP Camera And Price Reaches RM8000

The era of Google's foldable screen devices began today with the official launch of the Google Pixel Fold this morning. It's a foldable screen device with a compact design similar to the Oppo Find N2 that was launched a few months ago.

It is equipped with a 5.8″ OLED 102HZ screen on the outside and a 7.6″ OLED 120Hz foldable internal screen. When it was shown on stage earlier, the screen still had a noticeable crease effect. This is matched with a Google Tensor G2 chip, a Titan M2 security chip, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM memory, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and a 4821 mAh battery.

The main camera system consists of 48MP wide-angle, 10.8MP ultra-wide-angle and 10.8MP telephoto 5x optical zoom. Meanwhile, a 9.5MP camera is used on the outer screen and an 8MP camera is used on the foldable screen. As with other foldable Android devices on the market, there is a mode to use the external screen as a viewfinder to use the main camera to take selfies.

There is Dual Screen Interpreter support that allows conversations in two languages to be done through Translate. There is also a custom dock in the Pixel Fold that facilitates the process of using multiple applications and multiple windows to be done faster. Also shown is the Flex Mode feature that allows YouTube videos to be watched with the body of the Pixel Fold folded into an L shape.

The device supports 30W wireless charging. It also passes the IPX8 standard. In terms of size, the IPixel Fold is larger than the Oppo Find N2 but smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5.

Pre-orders have opened in several major markets of the world at a price of $1799 (~RM8020) for 256GB storage and $1919 (~RM8555) for 512 GB storage in Obsidian and Porcelain colors.
