Grab introduced a new service called JustSave which not only allows users to share vehicles with other passengers heading to the same destination. It even helps the driver earn extra income by accepting more bookings at a time as well as trips.
The approach used is slightly different to Grabshare, where booking confirmation will only be made if the request is successfully matched. Then only one passenger is allowed per booking, with a maximum of two bookings in total per journey. In the meantime, Grab will also lock the route to avoid changes that could affect the journey.
However, if there is any passenger who cancels the reservation while the driver is on the way, then the individual will be charged a cancellation fee. The fee will be given in full to the driver as compensation for the time wasted. Meanwhile, the remaining reservations for other passengers will not be affected and will remain as originally booked.
The fare cost is also lower with savings of up to 20% compared to 30% on GrabShare. For now, it can only be accessed in some areas of the Klang Valley such as KLCC, Mid Valley Bangsar, Sentral Brickfields and One Utama/First Avenue during peak hours between 2pm - 9.59pm.
