Honor May Have Tough Glass "Giant Rhinoceros Glass" To Compete With Kunlun

Every smartphone will use a screen with special protection to ensure that it is not easily scratched, cracked or broken. Some devices also use special glass on the back panel like the iPhone for example. Among the popular glasses are Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Victus and the one Apple uses (also by Corning) Ceramic Shield.

But in China, Huawei has its own durable glass protecting their flagship devices. This glass is given the name Kunlun. This glass uses 108 types of processes for 24 hours, through a melting process that reaches 1600 degrees and has nano-crystals that make the glass as durable as a stone with a guarantee that it will not break.

We've tested it ourselves by dropping the screen device down and it's safe. This glass technology can be found on the Huawei Mate50 Pro device, the external screen of the Mate X3 and even the P60 Pro. Now Digital Chat Station claims that the Honor will also have its own durable glass.

This glass is said to use the name Giant Rhinoceros Glass. This glass is said to probably have the same durability as Kunlun or maybe even stronger. It is expected to be used on Honor's next foldable screen device, the Magic V2. If it is true that Honor has this glass in the future there will be two glasses receiving the Swiss SGS 5-star anti-fall recognition.
