The Honor90 series was finally officially launched through a launch event in China, today. A total of two models were announced with almost the same number of features and functions, but there are still minor differences given. Even so, in general, the improvements given to both devices are seen as more interesting than before.
We start with the Honor90 Pro, it uses a 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is further combined with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, memory up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. This is a better upgrade than the Honor80 Pro which only offers a memory option of up to 12GB RAM.
The device is also given an upgrade to the main camera system which now uses a 200MP main sensor, then followed by a 32MP (telephoto) and 12MP (ultra wide/macro) sensor. In the meantime, it also has dual selfie cameras with 50MP (portrait) + 2MP (depth) settings. Video recording up to 4K can also be made through both sides of the camera.
Next, the 5,000mAh battery used is also larger than the 4,800mAh in the previous model. At the same time, the charging system has also been improved which now reaches 100W in order to further shorten the process of recharging the device.
Turning to the Honor90, a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ screen is used which also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip is used as the mainstay, while the memory options reach 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The Honor90 also packs a 200MP primary sensor, but there is no support for a telephoto sensor. Instead, it is only equipped with 12MP for ultra-wide and 2MP for depth purposes. The difference can also be seen in the selfie camera which only contains a 50MP sensor for the purpose of recording selfies. The battery is still 5000mAh, but the charging system is only 66W.
The selling price of all devices starts at RMB3299 (~RM2145) (12GB/256GB), RMB3599 (~RM2340) (16GB/256GB) and RM3899 (~RM2536) (16GB/512GB) for the Honor90 Pro. Meanwhile, the standard variant is offered starting at RMB2499 (~RM1625) (12GB/256GB), RMB2799 (~RM1821) (16GB/256GB) and RMB2999 (~RM1,951) (16GB/512GB.)
