Today's launch also provides new offerings for devices with Huawei's foldable screen. Known as the Huawei Mate X3, it is offered in Malaysia at a price of RM8,888 (12GB/512GB) with Dark Green Vegan Leather and Black color options. Availability starts now which can be obtained online or offline through authorized Huawei distributors throughout Malaysia.
This new generation of Huawei foldable devices comes with a 6.4″ OLED LTPO screen on the outside and a 7.85″ OLED LTPO foldable on the inside. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip without 5G is used as the mainstay along with a combination of 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device also packs a 4800 mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The main camera support consists of a 50MP OIS RYYB wide-angle lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP periscope telephoto with up to 5X optical zoom. Meanwhile, an 8MP sensor is used for selfie cameras on both sides of the screen.
Interestingly, the body of the device also has IPX8 waterproof capability which is still rare for a foldable device. There is also a special wet hand mode that allows the device's screen to recognize touch input without problems even when the fingers are wet.
