Maxis, one of the largest telecommunication companies in Malaysia is also known for their digital classroom program called Maxis eKelas. This digital classroom program is typically used by high school students, and has been tested in rural schools across the country.
Recently, Maxis announced that they have signed a memorandum of cooperation with UiTM to introduce new content for the eKelas program.
"Collaboration with Maxis will allow our students to explore their potential in content preparation and improve their knowledge in digital content production with guidance from experts in this field. This is in line with our commitment to provide innovative education to our students. We hope this collaboration will be successful," said Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, UiTM Vice Chancellor.
Maxis and UiTM said that they will use their manpower and expertise to develop video content for Mathematics, Science and English subjects for Form 4 and Form 5 students in the form of real-life character roles, experiments, and animations to make learning more interesting. for eKelas students.
Apart from this, Maxis has also introduced two new subjects to their eKelas platform, namely Bahasa Malaysia and has updated the interface of the platform to make it easier for students to access the content. The Maxis eKelas program also has 75 thousand registered students so far.
