Maybank Will Use Secure2U For Credit And Debit Card MSOS Codes, Starting 1 July 2023

Maybank is now informing its credit card and debit card users, stating that it will fully use the Secure2U feature instead of using the MSOS code for online transactions, starting 1 July 2023.

As many are aware, for online transactions, sometimes the MSOS code will be required, to ensure that the real owner is doing the transaction. Now, with the phased transition to Secure2U involving various transactions, Maybank will also use the Secure2U feature instead of the MSOS code.

Maybank also stated that this step will continue to improve the security of users' cards from scams involving SMS.

For those of you who use Maybank, can activate Secure2U and prepare for this transition. This is also because the activation period for Secure2U takes 12 hours before being activated for the first time through the MAE application.
