MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Now Official With More Powerful CPU And GPU

MediaTek's new generation flagship chip Dimensity 9200+ has been officially launched. It is a successor to the previous Dimensity 9200 and is said to be the closest competitor to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

According to MediaTek, this processing chip that still maintains the use of 4nm technology provides a CPU increase of up to 10%, GPU increase of 17% and energy savings of up to 34% better than the previous generation.

The configuration of 1+4+3 CPU cores used consists of 1x Arm Cortex-X3 3.05GHz, 3x Arm Cortex-A715 2.85GHz and 4x Arm Cortex-A510 1.8GHz. This is also matched with the latest Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU which has Ray Tracing capabilities and HyperEngine 6.0 GPU Fusion Rendering which is very useful for a good first experience.

It also shares the same ISP chip as the Dimensity 9200 which supports camera sensors up to 320MP with the ability to record 8K video at 30FPS. Screen support is up to FHD+ at a refresh rate of 240Hz or WQHD up to 144Hz. The memory is based on LPDDR5x and UFS 4.0 storage.

Dimensity 9200+ also supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G connections, in addition to supporting WiFi 7 and bluetooth 5.3 connections. The device using this processing chip is scheduled to arrive around this month without sharing more about the type of model it supports.
