Microsoft Wants Bing to Be Firefox's Main Search Engine

Microsoft is now reportedly aiming to win Mozilla's bid, which would allow Bing to become the main search engine on Firefox. With this move, it shows Microsoft is refocusing on their search engine after gaining momentum since the introduction of Bing Chat earlier this year.

For now, Google pays Mozilla to be the main search engine on Firefox. Although users can change it on the settings, but on the original settings used by a large number of users, will use Google search.

It is not yet known how Microsoft will structure the form of payment to Mozilla if it wins the bid.

Microsoft's bid for Firefox is expected to benefit not only Microsoft in getting Firefox web browser users, but at the same time Mozilla can also remain a revenue generator even though their market share is not as strong as it used to be.
