It has become a trend for manufacturers today to place periscope cameras on devices with high zoom capabilities. OnePlus seems to be using the same technology in its next-generation flagship device, the OnePlus 12.
According to sources OnePlus is currently testing a periscope camera system on a product line associated with the code name SM8650. It is still unclear about the supported zoom levels but this is interesting as we may see better zoom capabilities on upcoming OnePlus phones. In addition to being expected to be able to compete with some existing manufacturers.
With improved camera support and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the OnePlus 12 can indeed be positioned as an interesting device. But the concern at the moment concerns the selling price which may be higher even for the base model.
