iPhone and Samsung suddenly became a trending topic on Twitter on Sunday afternoon (30/4/2023). It turned out that the trigger was due to Min Yoon-gi's stage action or better known as Suga BTS.
So in a solo concert, Suga also served fans' requests to take pictures. But he vehemently refused if fans used iPhones, the musician only accepted if they used Galaxy cellphones made by Samsung.
"No iPhone, No iPhone, This is Galaxy," he said.
The video clip for Suga's statement was widely posted by users on Twitter. No doubt it makes a scene and invites laughter from netizens.
As is well known, BTS is still Samsung's brand ambassador. This South Korean boyband last promoted the Galaxy S23 series.
Suga even had time to update Samsung's signature ringtone entitled Over the Horizon to make it feel contemporary. These ringtones can be enjoyed on Samsung's flagship cell phones on the market.
"It's an honor to work on a song that is part of Galaxy's 10-year history. I tried to make my own interpretation while keeping the melody the same so that it resonates with a wider audience," said Suga when he was trusted to make Over the Horizon's ringtone.
