Poco seems to be consistently releasing devices every year. Although not as much as Xiaomi and Redmi, their offerings are still attractive. Today two new Poco devices have been launched namely Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro.
Surprisingly these two devices offer interesting specifications at a reasonable price in 2023. As always Poco being Poco, these two devices are rebranding from Redmi K60 to Poco F5 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Turbo to Poco F5 with minor changes.
This device falls in the premium mid-range category. It comes with a 6.67″ FHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay screen with 120Hz refresh rate support and Dolby Vision display. Poco F5 is the first device in Malaysia and globally to be powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip. For memory, the LPDDR5 RAM reaches 12GB, but storage is limited to 128GB and 256GB only.
The camera configuration is 64+8+2 Megapixel with OIS and a 16 Megapixel selfie camera. An interesting feature that is offered is a photo frame that looks like a photo film with 7 special filters.
The loaded battery has a capacity of 5000mAh with 67W charging that can charge the device from 0% to 100% in 50 minutes. 5G support, vibration engine, IP53, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, infrared sensors are all retained with the addition of a 3.5mm audio jack port and a fingerprint scanner is on the side.
Poco F5 also uses a design that is a trend now. Compact and flat with two round camera bumps. This device is a mid-range device that wants to offer a flagship device experience at a more affordable price.
