Project Starline's New Prototype For Realistic 3D Video Calls Shown

Project Starline was announced by Google during the pandemic which provides a realistic video calling or teleconferencing experience. Through it, video calls seem to be 3D, making the person displayed on the screen look like they are really in front of the Project Starline user.

A new prototype of Project Starline has been shown by Google with its design now more compact and easier to use in a smaller space. There are three cameras on top, as well as both sides of the giant screen to create a 3D model of the user.

With the help of artificial intelligence, 3D images can be displayed on the screen without using a complex camera system. The size of Project Starline which used to be the same as a restaurant seat was reduced to the size of a normal television.

Efforts to improve Project Starline are still being made through collaboration with Google's business partners at Salesforce, T-Mobile and WeWork. There are still no plans to offer this project as a real product in the near future.
