Almost a month after the preview session last month, the Proton X90 is now officially launched in four versions. It was launched on the day Proton celebrated its 40th anniversary. The X90 is the largest SUV in the X series family so far as it can accommodate up to seven passengers.
The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5L TGDi engine with an electric motor system. This makes the X90 their first commercial vehicle with an electric system after more than a decade of testing EREV vehicles. Overall the engine is capable of producing 190 horsepower with a maximum torque of 300Nm. All four Standard, Executive, Premium and Flagship models are equipped with the same engine with differences made in the interior finish offering, ADAS system, panoramic window on the roof, camera system and tire size.
The most basic Standard model is sold at a price of RM123,800 with 18" alloy wheels, 12.3" infotainment system, fabric seats and seven passenger capacity. The most flagship model is offered at a price of RM152,800 with an ADAS system up to L2, 19" alloy tires, panoramic roof mirror, wireless charger, 360 degree camera, swappark system and private second row seat which reduces the vehicle capacity to only 6 passengers.
There are six color offerings in total which are Snow White, Armor Silver, Jet Grey, Cinnamon Brown, Ruby Red and Marine Blue. The Marine Blue color however is only given to the Premium and Flagship models.
A total of four models are offered under the X90, where the flagship model comes at a price of RM152,800. It is followed by the Premium model at a price of RM144,800, the Executive model at a price of RM130,800 and the Standard model at a price of RM123,800.
