RCS Now Has 800 Million Monthly Active Users

 

At the Google I/O 2023 event early this morning, Google again lazily tried to mock Apple for not integrating RCS into iOS. Google wants to try to parallelize the use of RCS to all operating systems because it is a new generation of messaging that replaces SMS and MMS.

According to Google RCS currently has 800 million monthly active users. This is a 300 million user increase over last year. Google also doesn't stop mocking Apple, once tried to help but Apple didn't want to include RCS because their users didn't ask for it.

Google also stated that RCS, WhatsApp or Signal are better and safer than iMessage. If you have the Google Messages app on your Android device and have ever sent a message to another Android user you may not have realized that it is no longer an SMS but an SMS.
