Russian Dragon Tooth Defense Sight for Ukraine Weir

Ukrainian troops, assisted by sophisticated military equipment aid from western countries, are preparing to counterattack into areas occupied by Russia. Of course Russia will not remain silent, among others by preparing Dragon Teeth defenses to stem Ukrainian troops.

The pyramid-shaped concrete defensive barrier is also nicknamed devil's tooth and its main purpose is to impede combat vehicles such as tanks. Of course, not only Dragon Teeth, various other defense tools have been prepared by the Russian military.

Satellite footage shows the Dragon Teeth line between the anti-tank trenches and troop-filled trenches, stretching from western Russia through eastern Ukraine into Crimea.

As quoted by us from the Independent, of course this defense system aims to hinder Ukrainian troops and so that Russia can defend the area it occupies. The excavation work appears to have been carried out since November and reportedly, some of the Dragon Teeth was supplied from Belarus.

Tracing history, Dragon Teeth was first used in World War II. The idea was to slow down and funnel the tanks into the kill zone where they could be easily destroyed by anti-tank guns.

Russia's current position is mainly concentrated in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region and around the Crimean Peninsula, which it annexed in 2014. Strategic cities such as Polohy, Tokmak and Bilmak can also be seen surrounded by fortifications reportedly stretching for 120 km.

Ukraine will indeed attack with great force. Oleg Musiyenko, a military analyst, told Reuters he estimated Kyiv had as many as 110,000 troops to carry out an offensive, including eight assault brigades comprising a total of 40,000 troops.
