Samsung And Naver Collaborate To Develop ChatGPT Competitors And AI Chips

All the world's major technology companies are racing to have their own artificial intelligence (AI) with capabilities comparable to or beyond ChatGPT. Samsung previously confirmed they want to integrate AI in their products in an interview with us. Their plans are now becoming clearer after Samsung Electronics partnered with Naver to develop self-generative artificial intelligence.

This home-made AI is specifically for the use of device solution (DS) and device experience (DX) staff at Samsung who are now no longer allowed to use external AI such as ChatGPT. This follows Samsung's secrets being leaked after DX staff used ChatGPT a few months ago. It is also expected to improve the productivity of Samsung employees without having to worry about leaked data.

This yet-to-be-named AI is expected to be launched as early as October 2023. In the signed agreement, Naver as Kora's main search engine will receive data on Samsung semiconductors to train an AI that will then be further refined by Samsung.

Naver, on the other hand, will use Samsung's AI chip that is being developed to replace the NVIDIA chip they are using now. In other words, two fully locally made technologies will be produced through the collaboration of two South Korean technology giants.
