More rumors say that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip5 foldable screen phones will launch earlier this year. According to a report by Chosun Media from South Korea, the launch of these two devices will take place on July 26, 2023 which is two weeks earlier than the usual date when Samsung's foldable screen devices are launched.
The launch is also said to be done in Seoul, South Korea instead of abroad as usual. Sales will open on August 11. The earlier launch was done to boost device sales and reduce losses for Samsung, which was hit by a sharp drop in chip prices last quarter.
This year Samsung is facing more competitors in this segment as Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Tecno and OnePlus are more aggressive in marketing their devices at more competitive prices.
