The general public already knows that Samsung also has a variety of monitors of its own. This year as many as three new options have been announced through the Smart Monitor M8, M7 and M5 which come in various sizes and improved features compared to the previous generation.
Starting with the Smart Monitor M8 (M80C) and M7 (M70C), both share most of the same functionality. It comes with a 32-inch 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) flat screen that also supports a 60Hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time. This is matched with several other additional features such as HDR10+ certification, a brightness level of 400 cd/㎡ and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1.
Both also come with necks that can be rotated 90 degrees for vertical viewing and are height adjustable. Furthermore, there are also five built-in speakers included in accordance with the main purpose of the device to create a fun working environment. There are also built-in voice assistants such as Bixby and Alexa that allow voice control.
Furthermore, users can also enjoy various online streaming platforms such as Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube easily through the Smart Hub feature. The I/O option consists of 1 X HDMI (2.0), 2 X USB-A and 1 X USB-C (65W). The only advantage for the M8 model is that it supports a removable magnetic FHD camera that also supports wireless connectivity.
Talking about Smart Monitor M5 (M50C) is available in two size options either 332-inch or 27-inch. This is also matched with a flat-type screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9, FHD resolution, a brightness level of 250nits, HDR10+ and a response time of 4ms. It is also a basic model without the neck ability that can be rotated 90 degrees like the two variations above. Next, I/O options are limited with support for 2 X HDMI(1.4) and 2 X USB-A only.
No selling price has been revealed for the three monitors at this time.
