Samsung announced the One UI 5 Watch launcher for their smartwatches today. It is the latest version based on the latest Wear OS which will be launched in the second half of 2023. One UI 5 Watch prioritizes better health, safety and sleep tracking than the previous version.
Health tracking is enhanced with the Heart Rate Zone feature that displays heart rate during warm-up, fat burning, cardio, cardio and max exercises. The Route Workout activity tracking feature is further enhanced with GPX file support on the Watch 5 Pro.
The sleep tracking feature comes with tips to get better rest directly on the watch instead of the Samsung Health app. Information about each user's sleep also has more detailed data such as sleep phase, snoring, blood oxygen and more. Through SmartThings integration, internet of things devices at home will be controlled to provide optimal sleep time.
Finally, for safety, the fall detection feature is activated by default for users aged 55 and over. The location information sent is also more detailed. Information about health can also be displayed directly on the watch screen.
One UI 5 Watch will be officially launched in the second half of 2023. The Galaxy Watch6 will definitely be the first watch to use it. But starting tomorrow beta testing will be given to Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
