Shopee has now updated the specific service policy for sellers, where the Late Shipment Rate (LSR) must be kept below 5% starting on July 3, 2023.
For now, Shopee sets the LSR rate to 15%, where if exceeding the rate, the seller will be given one penalty point. If the penalty points reach a high level, then the seller will be limited to some features for 28 days.
With this move, Shopee aims for their platform to offer a better experience and standards to buyers, while avoiding late deliveries by sellers. Perhaps this step is also necessary to ensure that Shopee remains one of the e-commerce platforms that are targeted - not to mention the competition received from Lazada and TikTok.
