The Sonos speakers that you can buy in Malaysia can all be controlled with one application which is Sonos available on the App Store and Play Store. This application is also offered to macOS and Windows users.
The interesting thing about the Android application is that this application allows users to play their own music. This means audio files such as .wav, .mp3 and so on from the device to the Sonos speakers. But starting at the end of May, Sonos will update the application for Android so that users can only play music through streaming services.
This feature is called On this device and will officially end on May 23. Users should use Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer or Plex. Other methods like Spotify you can choose from Spotify's own settings to play on Sonos speakers.
