The Sony ZV-1 II has been officially announced as another new option for a compact camera focused on vlog video recording. The difference lies in the ultra wide angle zoom support between 18-50mm f1.8-4 which is wider than the previous generation. This makes it suitable for various scenes whether landscape or group selfies, however no optical stabilization function is included.
Just like before, the Sony ZV II also uses a 12.1 Megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a BIONZ XR image processor chip. The body construction and controls are also still the same including support for a rotatable screen. However no electronic camera viewfinder support is included.
Most of the video recording capabilities are also unchanged with a maximum recording of 4K/30fps 8 bit. It's just that the cinematic mode settings are now improved with the addition of black bars at the top and bottom of the recording frame, while also introducing a film-style color preset function that allows users to choose tone and style directly during recording.
Furthermore, it also has a built-in microphone with three sound selection modes either front, rear and automatic with audio effects that can be adjusted depending on the recording scene. This camera has been listed on Sony Malaysia's official website with no selling price revealed for now.
