The Ministry of Health is Awaiting the Approval of the Attorney General's Office to Obtain the Bivalent Vaccine

Many Malaysians are now seen waiting for the presence of the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine which is seen to help in reducing the probability of the public being attacked by the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus.

The Malaysian Ministry of Health is seen wanting to obtain the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent vaccine which is seen to reduce the probability of contracting the virus, and the Minister of Health, Dr Zaliha Mustafa said that they are now awaiting approval from the Attorney General's Office to obtain the vaccine.

Discussions to get the vaccine have started since last March between the government and Pfizer-BioNTech, but not much is known about it until now. The National Pharmacy Regulatory Division has given permission to bring these vaccines into the country to be used as booster vaccines to reduce infections from the Omicron BA.1 and BA.4-5 variants.
