The Photos application on Windows 11 is not the best application for viewing and managing individual images. Even I myself on Windows use Google Photos or Photoscape X. But Microsoft does not want to give up because they still want to offer the best user experience for their users.
Photos on Windows 11 will soon support slideshows with image-to-image animated transitions that include 25 background music options. Images can also be viewed with a scroll bar and users can view OneDrive, iCloud and other albums in a timeline view.
Most interestingly, Photos is also currently testing the new Retouch support where users can repair defects in images with just one brush tool. Features like this are usually built into more professional image editing applications.
For now the new Photos features and functions can only be obtained through version 2023.11050.2013.0 which is available for Windows 11 Insider users only.
