Sharing videos to social media is common. Often videos that go viral on platform A want to be shared to site B natively. On Twitter, for example, there is a bot that helps users download videos. In the near future, this bot user will no longer be needed as the video download feature is being developed by Twitter.
Andrea Conway who is a perek on Twitter shared a screenshot of the new interface of the video player for this social media. There are options to download videos, change speed, and enable subtitles. It is not known whether this feature will be available to all or exclusive to Blue customers only.
With Twitter allowing up to 2 hours of video to be uploaded by Blue customers, there has already been an issue of piracy where the Super Mario Brothers and John Wick 4 movies have been uploaded entirely illegally. If this video download feature is given later, maybe Twitter can become a video piracy platform.
