Wendy's Restaurant Replaces Drive-Through Workers With Google AI


 Artificial intelligence has replaced the duties of tutors, writers, analysts and various other jobs that are considered menial by humans. Next, the drive-thru workers at the restaurant will be replaced by Wendy's fast food restaurant. Wendy's FreshAI test started with the help of Google.



Wendy's FreshAI is a chatbot developed using Google's LLM. It is trained to understand the orders of Wendy's customers in the drive-thru aisle. It can understand short terms that customers use to order their favorite foods.


In the photo shared by Wendy's, a giant LCD screen is placed in the drive-thru lane. Customers will talk to Wendy's FreshAI just like they give orders to human employees through existing speakers. The order made will be displayed on the screen as a confirmation. A pilot test will be done this June at a restaurant in Ohio.
