Access To iOS 17 Developer Beta Now Offered Free

To try the newest version of iOS you usually need a developer account with an annual subscription of $99 (~RM456) for individuals or $299 (~RM1377) for enterprises. Normal users will have to wait for iOS Beta which is given later. But this year is different because Apple offers access to iOS 17, iPadOS 17 or watchOS 10 free to all.

This means that if you're interested, all of the operating systems that were just announced at WWDC yesterday can be tried out now. Even though it's free you still need to register your Apple ID account to Apple's developer site to get a beta profile.

It's nice to see Apple giving this access away for free. Previously if stubborn users still wanted early access, developer profiles could be illegally downloaded and Apple has already stopped that.

Although all these operating systems can be tested, we do not recommend the reader to try them first. This is because usually these developer versions have various issues that cannot be solved easily by normal users.
