The Apple MacBook Air 15″ began to be received in some markets such as the United States this week. So early reviews have started to be published and interestingly an issue that occurred on the MacBook Air M2 appears again on the latest model of this laptop.
The 256GB SSD storage on the 15″ MacBook Air with the M2 chip was also found to be not as fast as the larger storage. Read and write speeds on these SSDs are 30-50% slower than on larger storage. So it can be assumed that the same SSD on the MacBook Air M2 13″ is recycled. What disappoints buyers is that on the MacBook Air M1 this issue does not occur.
So before you intend to buy a MacBook Air 15″ soon after it is offered in Malaysia later, make sure that a larger storage is selected to enjoy higher speeds.
