America's New Online Taxi Application, The Driver Brings a Gun

Crime is increasingly widespread, there is a new online taxi application in America. Drivers will be armed with pistols.

Kerry King Brown, a 32 year old former private investigator is the figure behind Black Wolf. This is an online taxi startup that has 15 cars to serve the City of Atlanta area.

Quoting from the New York Post, Sunday (4/6/2023), since a week after its launch, the application has been downloaded around 80,000 times. In practice, every vehicle in the Black Wolf App is equipped with GPS tracking and a live streaming system that allows drivers to share with those closest to them.

The app uses real-time data, and can tell other people about a driver's location. To enjoy the feature, an armed driver will be charged a premium rate.

Passengers must pay USD 50 for unarmed drivers and USD 60 for armed drivers. This does not include a fee of USD 1.75 per 1.6 kilometer.

Black Wolf drivers must pass a background check and firearms and security situation training. Brown wants to bring Black Wolf to New York in the next four months, but New York's strict gun regulations could complicate those plans.

Black Wolf existed after Brown expanded his original business, including a transportation line for schools. Brown wanted his driver to have experience in law enforcement, private security, or the military.

"We want people who have worked in the military or the private sector not just the police," he said.

Ordinary people can also become part of the Black Wolf, but must go through detailed training for weapons before working.

Brown agrees that the increase in crime in big cities has also contributed to the demand for the application. He plans to expand the market to Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami.
