Apple today officially introduced their upcoming version of the operating system, which is iOS 17. This iOS 17 will be available to all iPhone users around the world around September or October.
iOS 17 includes a number of exciting new features, making your iPhone more personal and customizable based on your own tastes. One of them is the Posters feature – which allows you to customize personal information so that it is displayed in the desired form on the call recipient's screen.
In addition to Posters, users can now also see voice message transcription support in real-time, and choose to respond to a call or vice versa – especially while driving or in a meeting.
Another exciting new feature also announced is NameDrop – making it easy to share information such as phone numbers and email addresses by simply bringing an iPhone close to another iPhone.
iOS 17 also now makes it easier to AirDrop files over long distances, allowing you to move once you've started transferring a file to a device.
As for the support of the Siri virtual assistant, finally, as expected by many, Apple now removes the use of the word "Hey Siri", and instead can be activated by just using "Siri".
A new application is also included in iOS 17, called Journal. It allows you to easily record your various daily developments, including photos, activities and information from various other applications. Apple states that this diary-shaped application will be encrypted and the data will only be accessible to one user.
And finally, a feature called StandBy was announced, which is a special mode when charging that displays the time or a widget in the form of a full screen, as well as on a horizontal display.
These new features along with others will be present in the upcoming iOS 17 update for iPhone. Typically, updates will be offered in Beta form first, with the final version arriving around September or October globally.
