BreachForum Site Selling Personal Data Seized by U.S. Authorities

The BreachForum site that hosted hundreds of millions of stolen personal data is now down after the domain was seized by the United States authorities. If Breached.vc is accessed today, a notice says the address has now been seized by the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Office of the United States Inspector General.

The owner of the site Conor Fitzpatrick who uses the online name Pompompurin was arrested last March and is now awaiting trial. There was an attempt to continue the operation of the site by one of the former managers but it was not possible after the browser was also confiscated by the authorities.

Pompompurin is now facing charges of selling hundreds of millions of US users' personal data stolen by hackers. In Malaysia, the data of several hacker attacks involving millions of personal data of local users has also been sold through BreachForum.
