CelcomDigi Begins Network Integrating Pilot Test

Celcom and Digi have already announced the merger of the company about 6 months ago, and today, CelcomDigi shared some of the company's developments, including regarding the pilot test in integrating the network.

With this integration step, it allows users to use Celcom's or Digi's network infrastructure without problems – while enjoying better coverage rates, including an increase in network service offerings.

Celcom stated that it has conducted a pilot test of network integration in Sitiawan, Rawang, Bercham, Port Dickson and also Kuantan. These five locations involve around 300 upgraded and integrated network sites. This integration also offers better network capacity than before.

What is also interesting, this network integration is done without any interruption to the user, and shows an increase in downloads reaching 40%.

Commenting further, CelcomDigi aims to have around 18,000 network sites expected to be integrated in almost 2.5 to 3 years. This integration process is also done in stages from areas with less density to areas with high density.
