Discord has previously introduced an online game store through their chat software before, but it was only a feature that was shown off for a while.
The social media platform that specializes in gaming is now seen wanting to try to open another online store on their platform, but is now focusing on the sale of digital products made by users of the platform.
This includes things like background images for PC, PC game manuals and so on. This buying and selling function, introduced together with the Server Store feature will be tested in the coming months, but it is not yet known when or if it will be implemented.
Apart from that, the Server Subscriptions function has also seen new improvements since it was introduced at the end of last year. Now, Discord site owners can set subscription levels using a built-in template that allows them to set certain advantages depending on the subscription level.
In the Discord beta test, the Media channel is also being tested, which is a channel that is seen as more suitable for sharing links and media files such as videos, GIFs, images and so on compared to normal text channels.
Discord is now seen to be showing a variety of new features that make it a rapidly developing platform as a suitable alternative to other names such as Twitter and Reddit.
