Dogen City Is A Climate Change-Proof Floating City

Cities such as Miami, Venice, New York, Jakarta and Johor Bahru will be threatened with drowning due to rising sea levels caused by climate change. Among the plans that have been done in Venice is building a barrier wall. Today the concept design of Dogen City was shown in Japan with it being another floating city that will not sink due to climate change.

Dogen City was designed by the N-Ark firm with a circular shape with a diameter of 4 kilometers. If built, it could accommodate up to 40,000 residents. Inside the giant coil of Dohgen City are residential, office, industrial, agricultural and data center zones all floating.

According to N-Ark, Dogen City will operate independently with all food, beverage and energy needs built in. Designers set the target that Dogen City will be built by 20230.

In addition to Dogen City, the floating city Oceanix City will also be in South Korea and Penang BiodiverCity will be built in Penang. Is the future of humanity living in a floating city like the movie Waterworld?
