Flashback Digital Camera Offers the Experience of a Disposable Film Camera

Disposable film cameras are a lifesaver if you left your camera at home on vacation. It is sold in almost all photo shops and grocery stores in hotels. With the introduction of the camera on the phone, the disposable film camera that had been around since 1949 began to die out. But we now live in an era of nostalgia and it's no surprise Flashback cameras have been produced.

Flashback is a digital camera that not only looks like a 90s disposable camera, but also offers the same user experience. It can only take 27 pictures continuously with an analog viewfinder. There is no LCD screen that shows the results of the photos taken.

Immediately after the 24 photos are taken, they will be sent to the Flashback application on the smartphone to be "processed" for 24 hours. Flashback was developed to produce images similar to Fujifilm's Superia disposable cameras. Pictures can be taken in color and monochrome mode.

After the picture is taken, the user has to turn the "film" wheel to take the next picture. There is also a special switch to activate the flash.

After use, the Flashback battery can be recharged using a USB-C cable. This project is collecting data through the Kickstarter crowdfunding site where it can be purchased at a price starting at AUD 125 (~RM379) each.
