Israel Leaks Iran's Secrets of Making Nuclear Bombs

A former head of Israel's military intelligence, claims that Iran has an amount of uranium capable of making three to five nuclear bombs.

Speaking to Israeli public broadcaster KAN, Amos Yadlin, the former head of Israel's military intelligence, said that a recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) did not reveal anything new. He added that Israel knows that Iran is capable of making nuclear bombs.

Quoted from the Middle East Monitor, on May 24, the Israeli Army Chief of Staff also said Iran had made unprecedented progress in its uranium enrichment program.

"Iran has made more progress in the field of uranium enrichment than ever before. We are closely examining additional domains that lead to nuclear capability," Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi told the Herzliya Conference.

This is not the first time Israel has accused Iran of trying to build a nuclear bomb. This claim has always been denied by Iran, which says its program is designed for peaceful purposes. Earlier, former US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew his administration from a landmark 2018 accord and reimposed sanctions on Iran.

These sanctions pushed Iran to take a step away from its nuclear-related commitments. Since then, Iran is known to have exceeded the limit on the amount of uranium it is allowed to possess, as well as enriching nuclear material beyond the permitted levels.
