KPT does not prevent the use of ChatGPT in higher education

 


The Minister of Higher Education has now shared that the government will not prevent the use of the ChatGPT application in higher education institutions in Malaysia. However, stressing it should be based on appropriate things.



ChatGPT is one form of artificial intelligence model that is able to provide output based on user questions. Today, a number of jobs have begun to integrate the use of ChatGPT in daily tasks. In fact, KhanAcademy also shows the same technology integration that helps in learning and teaching matters.


As many are aware, its use is unavoidable in the learning and teaching process. Therefore, it is requested that users use it based on the guidelines that have been issued by the Department of Higher Education.


There have been several problems involving ChatGPT previously identified, including quoting inaccurate and non-existent info. Its use also needs to be subject to limitations and so on, to ensure that the learning and understanding process runs smoothly.
