Realme CEO Madhav Sheth announced he is leaving the company. He held this position for five years and it is now held by Sky Li who is also the co-founder of Realme in India. He did not share where he will go next.
His resignation comes weeks after Oppo, OnePlus and Realme are now operating independently in India after being investigated by the Indian government. Among the steps that Realme needs to take is to build their own device assembly plant in India which was previously shared with OnePlus and Oppo which are all subsidiaries of BBK Electronics.
Previously the Dizo business was also terminated with the wearable device brand now back under the auspices of Realme. Meanwhile Oppo is being investigated by the Indian government for allegedly trying to evade taxes.
