Mark Zuckerberg today shared the latest update for WhatsApp, which is the WhatsApp Channels feature. Through it, it works like on Telegram, where various brands can send one-way updates – while for users they can easily follow updates from their favorite communities, brands or companies.
These WhatsApp Channels will be located on a new tab called Updates - where it collects WhatsApp Status updates, in addition to these Channels. Messages shared on Channels will also be limited to the last 30 days only.
For now, WhatsApp Channels are only offered in Singapore and Colombia. It is expected to be expanded in stages in the coming months.
