Maxis now once again emphasizes its commitment stating that it will sign an access agreement with DNB in offering 5G services to customers under the Maxis network. However, it is not specified when this cooperation agreement will be done.
For now, various telecommunications companies are ready to sign access agreements with DNB, and offer 5G access to their customers. These include Yes, Celcom, Digi, U Mobile and even Unifi Mobile. Only Maxis has yet to offer a 5G network to their customers.
According to Maxis, 5G network offerings still have some shortcomings today, especially indoor coverage. MCMC itself shared that the 5G usage rate has only reached 3.1% for the time being.
