Mercedes-Benz, one of the leading vehicle manufacturers today made a surprise by adding "Hey Mercedes" voice control support powered by ChatGPT technology. This support comes through the integration of voice control support on the MBUX inforia system in the United States.
For starters, Mercedes offers it in beta form, and can be used in around 900,000 vehicles equipped with the MBUX inforia system in the United States. This ChatGPT technology is integrated through the use of Azure OpenAI by Microsoft.
Through the integration of ChatGPT, Mercedes-Benz states that it takes the "Hey Mercedes" capability one step further and enables a more comprehensive conversation with the system, and not just answering based on a set number of answers.
For now, it is not yet known when the roughly equal support will be extended to other countries.
