Microsoft has now announced that next year, they will replace the use of Mail and Calendar applications on Windows. Instead, Microsoft will focus on the Outlook app for Windows.
This will simultaneously change the use of Mail and Calendar applications on Windows since 2015 as the main applications for email and calendar. With this change, Outlook will be the main application for email and calendar management on Windows starting in 2024.
Microsoft plans to end support for the Mail and Calendar apps for Windows by September 2024. In parallel, users are asked to prepare for the transition and use of the Outlook application as the main application for e-mail in Windows. Alternatively, users can also use other alternative software such as Thunderbird and so on.
