Remember the Nokia G22 that was introduced as an easy-to-repair device before? Now there are new rumors that the same concept may also be used in the upcoming Nokia G42 5G device. HMD Global is also believed to continue to work with iFixit in making this happen.
In terms of design, the device is expected to retain elements similar to the Nokia G22. There is a tri-camera system in a vertical arrangement on the back with a 50MP + 2MP + 2MP setup. Then combined with a front panel with a small notch with a single 8MP selfie camera. The size of the bezel is also disproportionate which indicates that there is a rather thick chin at the bottom of the device.
It is also believed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 480+ chip with a combination of memory and storage that can reach 6GB/128GB. Meanwhile, a battery with a capacity of 5000mAh, a side fingerprint scanning system and a 3.5mm audio jack connection are also available on the device.
The official launch is expected to take place in the near future which will then be expanded to some selected markets.
